Teaching Staff, Students and Volunteers
The teaching staff are trained in Early Childhood Education at a post secondary institution recognized by the Association of Early Child Educators and have a thorough knowledge of early childhood development. All our teaching staff are members of the College of Early Childhood Educators. Their child development training and experience with children enables them to offer valuable insight into children's behaviour and development. They are also required to maintain current First Aid/Infant/Child CPR/Anaphylaxis certification. All staff are required to undergo a comprehensive screening process, including a police record check, when they are hired and their performance is reviewed bi-annually. The staff are unionized with C.U.P.E. As a teaching centre for Early Childhood Education and High School Co-op students, the centre is fortunate to have the assistance of a number of volunteers and students. All students and volunteers are required to have a clear police record check before participating in the program.
